
Amy Alcott brings an extensive tax background to Meritage, sharing a love of detail and an affinity for managing complexity that readily applies to fund administration and venture investing. Her work with fund clients includes not only routine operational issues but also strategic advice on capital management and investor relations. Amy oversees MAG’s operations, staff training and the development of the firm’s standards for internal controls, tax compliance and investor reporting. She also oversees tax reporting for those Fund clients with foreign investors or foreign investments. Amy is our resident spreadsheet nerd but also a tireless advocate for employing software applications to increase back office efficiencies and to increase transparency for investors.
Amy, a CPA, earned her Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master’s of Accounting, with an emphasis in taxation, from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Previously, she worked at EKS&H, LLP and KPMG LLP, focusing on complex tax structures. Judging by her energy and concentration on achieving quality, no one would doubt that Amy was her high school’s valedictorian.
