The Partners at Meritage have committed ourselves to authoring content. We author the Meritage Funds Blog and I maintain my own blog, Non-Linear. For all of us, writing is a personally gratifying and valuable process. Writing is also a great way for us to contribute to the growth-stage company ecosystem in which we operate.
This is no shortage of blogs, news sites and other online resources focused on issues faced by early-stage and venture capital backed businesses. In fact, there is so much early-stage focused content that it is hard to sort through. However, we’ve observed that there is very little content being published that is focused on issues and concerns of growth-stage businesses and the growth equity segment of the private equity landscape. In response to that lack of content, we’ve endeavored to try to close the gap.
Today, we release The Growth Equity Blog. The Growth Equity Blog is designed to tackle issues faced by businesses that are poised for significant growth including those which have been bootstrapped by their founding entrepreneurs. We’ll address issues including debt and equity capital formation strategy, corporate control and governance dynamics, strategic planning, investor dynamics, Board composition and management, growth hacking, organization design and leadership and many other topics of interest to growth-stage businesses. With permission, we’ll include content published by others that we think will be relevant to our audience.
While there will be some overlap between the topics covered by the Growth Equity Blog and venture-capital focused resources, The Growth Equity Blog will approach things from a growth-stage perspective. We encourage you to be a part of The Growth Equity Blog community. Please submit questions and topics you wish us to address in an email to Growth Equity Blog Questions. We’ll work hard to respond quickly and thoroughly to questions you pose.
